Shalom Ghenish has over 20 years of culinary experience and has worked as the Executive Chef of Hotel Cramim in Jerusalem for the last three years. With a focus on modern Israeli cuisine, he is adept at creating gourmet meals that incorporate the bounty of the land.
Shalom has cooked at a variety of restaurants throughout the USA and Israel and has received specialized culinary training in Thailand and at the Culinary Institute of America. Prior to accepting his current position, Shalom worked as a chef at Kfar Ha’Maccabiah, where Maccabi World Union –organizer of the World Maccabiah Games – is located, which has one of the largest conference and catering facilities in Israel.
He is very excited to join Team Israel and represent his country at this inaugural Maccabi Culinary Competition and is looking forward to collaborating with his teammates at the competition and being part of this amazing culinary experience.
