Originally a political science major from Bar Ilan University in Israel, Ariel began his career working in the Prime Minister’s office in Israel in logistics. He relocated to Gibraltar and was not able to continue with the same type of work. Ariel saw an ad to try out for “Rock Chef” a televised culinary competition in Gibraltar, and decided to try out. He finished as a runner-up but was offered a job by one of the chef/judges on the show and his culinary career began.
He has since worked in a number of restaurants in Gibraltar with increasing responsibilities for menu and concept development. Ariel is currently developing new dishes and menus for the restaurant at My Wines in Gibraltar, the first wine bar in the country.
